Rights come from God, NOT government.
Government only
 exists to protect our Rights.

This was my sole philosophy as a County Commissioner and one I will apply as your next State Representative.

Born at Lakeshore Hospital in Shelby and raised in Elbridge Township, Andrew Sebolt is a life-long resident of Oceana County. Prior to graduation from Hart High School in 2000, Andrew sought military service as a Machinist. Completing Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky in June of 2001, he then went on to complete his 16-week course in Machining at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. Graduation from this well-known center for Army technical training was one of the turning points in Andrew’s political view and perspective of the global landscape; he graduated at 0830 hours on September the 11th, 2001, a short ride from the Pentagon and New York City.

Andrew then turned his attention towards college. While first attending West Shore Community college, Andrew was a limited co-owner during the start up of a small business in Scottville, Michigan. Towards the end of his Marketing/Management degree program, he administered multi-county private duty nursing services for a Manistee based company. Following completion of his degree at West Shore, Andrew enrolled in his Bachelor’s of Science, Business Administration degree through Ferris State University, from which he graduated with high honors and was nationally ranked in both Economic Analysis and Business Law through the prestigious international Phi Beta Lamba, the official honor society for business major students.

Political experience came during Andrew’s educational achievements in college. During 2006, while the country was gripped in a divide between continuing the war in Iraq or leaving, protestors began defiling the memorials to our nation’s fallen warriors. Seeing a need for leadership on the grassroots level to protect these monuments and to show that the majority of the country was behind our soldiers, Andrew served on the national board of Operation: America Rising and was active in Gathering of Eagles, a counter-demonstration to anyone seeking to harm or harass American soldiers and the monuments dedicated to their sacrifice.

It was not until 2008 that Andrew began to be formally involved in politics. Seeing the direction our nation was headed and with ever increasing disregard for the US Constitution by members of both major political parties, he became a member of the Oceana Republican party and within 4 months was elected as an officer, serving as Secretary. Later, Andrew was elected to the Michigan Republican State Committee after a tough 5-way race to earn one of only three seats. As a representative from the 2nd Congressional District, for two terms, he has consistently voted against “the party establishment” whenever a policy would go against the US Constitution. Of most past note was the question of whether or not to take a stance against the National Popular Vote; this heavily financed push would, in Andrew’s words, “instantly and forever disintegrate the Constitutionally guaranteed Republic of the United States”.

Current activities of Andrew’s include his involvement in the Oceana County Republicans as the Chair, and in past years as the Secretary and an Executive Committee Member. Andrew has also been active with the Oceana Freedom Network Tea Party, where he has held the position of Chair and Vice Chair, in recent past years. In 2012 Andrew was appointed by Governor Snyder to the DHS and Oceana County Medical Facility Board, where he held the position of vice-chair.  He was successful at lobbying the state to consolidate Oceana and Mason together for their shared traditions, history, and work ethic.

Andrew’s passion and desire to take back the liberties and freedoms from all levels of government is now being exerted through his candidacy for State Representative.
